If you really, I mean really want to understand and learn TCP/IP this is the book for you to start with. It goes into the guts of TCP/IP and really gives you a thorough understanding of what is occurring within which bits and why.

If you don't want to pull up the RFC to try and learn TCP/IP, this book will keep you interested and is easy to follow. It will give you all the details regarding the protocol and is much easier to follow than an RFC. To learn TCP/IP from a networking perspective this is definitely a great book to learn from.

This book will go into TCP/IP and cover a large number of other protocols built upon the standard. Learning about the other protocols built upon TCP/IP is a valuable resource to learn and start your knowledge path towards a greater understanding of TCP/IP.
